ReplyDeleteA good start, but I was expecting a bit more for the three questions you selected - basically a short paragraph detailing why these questions are important and how you intend to go about researching them (including any sources you might use).
Oh, I see... Well, as you might have noticed, I started answering the thesis questions by breaking them down. In short, I'm breaking down each question and looking at it from a historical and political view point, in which I'll address the question. As for the resources, as I go along, I am collaborating the bibliography (by each section). I can't tell you my resources now because with each question I have to use a multitude of scarce information and collaborate it. The only reason I know how to determine accuracy is by my strong background in it, however, I am cross-referencing everything so I'd need to give you pages upon pages of resources which will pop-up over time. Most of my information is current, so as I go along, I tend to find newer resources in addition.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you were unsure of the reasoning behind any questions, message me. Each one has an integral answer to why the Middle East is the way it is. In fact, I have already decided to add another section within "world" about the Treaty of Versailles and the WAFD post-WWI, because after researching more American/Egyptian sources, I'm finding this a main factor in the government systems in place in the Middle East (...the whole derivation of pan-Arab nationalism).
And, obviously these won't be the only questions I answer. I just wanted to keep this "backbone" simple so I had a destination. Once I finish the spine of my thesis (within each marking period), I'll put more "meat" on it, with a more well-rounded viewpoint and opinions based on the solid information. I just want to keep these "thesis questions" as simple as possible... You know me, I'm quite scatter-brained.
... and i write too much as is ;)
